Rancho San Antonio Hill Trail (Cupertino)
The Hill Trail (plus portions of the Permanente Creek and PG&E Trails) traverses a mix of grassy hillsides and forested areas. We expect to see Anna’s Hummingbirds, goldfinches, swallows, Western Bluebirds, Wrentits, and raptors. We may also see Lazuli Buntings that sometimes reside near the water tank at the top of the hill, depending on the winter vegetation growth.
Trip Difficulty: 2 miles; some paved, some single track dirt, 300 ft elevation gain

Directions: From Foothill Expressway in Cupertino, turn onto Cristo Rey Drive; Drive 0.8 mile to the roundabout; take the second exit to stay on Cristo Rey Drive; drive 0.2 mile and turn left onto the Rancho San Antonio Service Road (the first left is one-way in the wrong direction); drive 0.1 mile and turn (stay) left onto the southern parking lot entrance road; meet at the southwest corner of the southern parking lot at coordinates.
