Field Trip: Randol Creek Trail (San Jose)
Randol Creek is a small waterway that flows north through a residential neighborhood in Almaden Valley to Alamitos Creek. A small group of birders will walk along the creek scanning for sparrows and thrushes and checking the water for ducks and egrets. Then we will walk back along the other side of the creek next to Cathedral Oaks park and scan the skies for raptors.
Trip Difficulty: 2 miles, paved trails, gravel trails, packed-dirt trails, some hills (less than 300 ft elevation gain), some shade

Meet: Corner of Rajkovich Way and Calcaterra Drive in Almaden Valley
Directions: From Highway 85, follow Almaden Expressway south through Almaden Valley. After about 5 miles turn right onto Rajkovich Way. Park on the street at Serenity Way or Calcaterra Drive. Lat/Lon: 37.20854° N, 121.84850° W
