This tidal estuary and nearby salt pond, marsh, and small lake attract thousands of shorebirds and waterfowl. We will look for sandpipers and ducks in the estuary, wading birds in the marsh, terns and gulls on the salt pond, and scoters and grebes on the lake. Optional: Afterwards we will drive a short distance over to the Google Egret Rookery where Great Egrets, Snowy Egrets, and Black-crowned Night Herons return in spring to raise their young. Advanced birders, beginning birders and everyone in between are all welcome to attend!
