Henry Coe is an under-birded state park with a wide variety of uncommon bird species. We'll walk along the Flat Frog Trail and look for migratory warblers, Red-breasted Nuthatch, and more. Last year's trip also included a close encounter with a Northern Pygmy-Owl.

Trip Difficulty: 5 miles, single-track with some hills, moderately strenuous

Trip Notes: mornings are often foggy, bring warm layers

Meet: Headquarters Visitor Center

Directions: From US-101 in Morgan Hill, exit East Dunne Ave. Continue east on East Dunne past Anderson Lake to the park headquarters at the end of the 10-mile winding road.
