This park is located in the eastern foothills at the base of Mt. Hamilton. We will spend the morning birding the historic ranch house gardens and surrounding oak-woodland community looking for Red-breasted Sapsuckers, Ruby-crowned Kinglets, Purple Finches and more. We will also walk over to Grant Lake to checkout the ducks.

Directions: From US-101 exit Capitol Expy in San Jose and continue east for 1.7 miles, then turn right onto Quimby Rd and continue for 7 miles. Turn right onto CA-130 E and continue for 0.2 miles. Park entrance is on your right. Continue into the park for about 300 ft. then turn left (at the brown sign) into the ranch house parking area.
Facilities: porta potties, cell coverage may be intermittent or non-existent
