Field Trip: Summer Breeding Birds at Little Uvas OSP (Morgan Hill)

This is a joint event with Santa Clara Valley Open Space Authority

Little Uvas Creek is located in Morgan Hill and normally closed to the public. Five small ponds, oak savannah, and a bit of woods should provide good breeding birds.

Trip Difficulty: 2 miles, packed-dirt trails, some hills (less than 300 ft elevation gain), some shade

Family Friendly Ages 10 and up, Beginner Friendly

Meet: gate at property entrance

Directions: From US-101, exit Bailey Ave. Continue west on Bailey Ave for 3 miles, then turn left onto McKean Rd. After 2.4 miles, McKean Rd becomes Uvas Rd. Continue on Uvas Rd for 5.2 miles. The entrance to the property is on your right, at the gate marked UC01, about 1.5 miles after the intersection with Croy Rd. Longitude/Latitude: 37.091319, -121.719653

Facilities: porta-potty, cell coverage may be intermittent or non-existent
