Uvas Creek Park Preserve (Gilroy)
Let’s walk along Uvas Creek in Gilroy! We should have a good variety of birds including wading birds, raptors, woodpeckers, swallows, sparrows and spring specialities like Black-headed Grosbeaks, Western Tanagers, Orioles, Warbling Vireos, and Western Flycatchers.
Trip Difficulty: 3 miles, packed-dirt trails, muddy or possibly muddy after rain, uneven or rutted trails, little or no elevation gain, little to no shade, poison oak alongside trail (wear long pants)

Meet: Parking lot by red barn
Directions: From US-101 in Gilroy, exit E Tenth St west. Travel west for approximately 1 mile. Tenth St turns slightly right and becomes Uvas Pkwy. Continue on Uvas Pkwy for another 0.4 miles. Turn left onto Miller Ave, cross Uvas Creek, pass Christmas Hill Park, then turn right into the Uvas Creek Park parking lot. Park near the red barn. Latitude/Longitude: 36.997945, -121.588595
