Western Bluebird by John Scharpen

Vasona Lake County Park - University Entrance

Join us for a leisurely bird walk around the riparian woodlands, small lake, eucalyptus groves, and large manicured lawns of this highly-developed urban park in Los Gatos. We’ll keep a special lookout for early migrating warblers, including Yellow Warblers and Yellow-rumped Warblers, and lingering summer residents like Western Tanagers and Orioles.

Trip Difficulty: 2.0 miles, mainly flat, paved trails, shady

Other Trip Notes: We are starting a little early (7:30AM) to avoid any heat that might occur later in the morning.
