Rancho Cañada del Oro is a beautiful open space home to a wide variety of bird species. This trip will focus on identifying and understanding birds by ear and is appropriate for birders of all levels - whether you can identify a sparrow from a single chip note or you couldn't tell a crow from a pigeon. We will try to listen to the distinctive calls of various flycatchers - including Pacific-slope Flycatcher, Western Wood-Pewee, and Olive-sided Flycatcher - as well as warblers, sparrows, and whatever else flies our way!

Notes: If you have recording equipment, feel free to bring it!
