I am a parrot fanatic. When and where my interest began, I am not entirely sure. However, in the past I have bred parrots in aviaries in my yard, although this ended when I moved to MN. I took a trip to Peru to see wild parrots in 2016. At that time, I did not even own a camera, but, thinking that taking photos would be a good idea, I rented a superzoom camera. I found that I had a ball taking the photos, and, thus, began my journey into wildlife photography. This talk will describe the evolution in the equipment I use and why I use it and the evolution in my technique, hopefully for the better. I will use my photos of wild parrots to illustrate the journey.
