Mandarin Bilingual Field Trip: Birding with Sketchbooks (Los Gatos)

This is a field trip for birders and art lovers. We will go to Vasona Lake County Park (Los Gatos) where we might see various water fowls and herons. Bring your sketchbooks and preferred sketching materials (pencil, pen, watercolor, etc.) as well as your previous bird drawings/paintings. We will share our birding and drawing experience, and practice drawing bird from life.

Trip Difficulty: 0.5 miles, paved trails, lawns (potentially wet)

Additional Languages: Mandarin will be the primary language of this field trip, but other languages spoken by our trip leaders include English.

Meet: Fishing Pier on East Side of Lake

Directions: From CA-85 in Los Gatos, exit Winchester Blvd. Continue south for about 1.5 miles (Winchester Blvd becomes North Santa Cruz Ave) then turn left onto Blossom Hill Rd. The park entrance will be on your left in less than 0.5 miles. Enter the park and continue on Garden Hill Dr to make your way to the small fishing pier on the east side of the lake. Parking Type and Fees: parking fees (use Santa Clara County Park annual pass, otherwise it is $6.00 per car, credit card only)
