Speaker Series: Songs of Recovery

  • Redwood Hall at The Terraces 373 Pine Lane Los Altos, CA, 94022 United States (map)

“Songs of Recovery” is a lively program highlighting our positive impact on avian species. Bill Pelletier will discuss the secret behind the emergence of Bald Eagles in recent years and the underlying factors that have allowed bird species, like Burrowing Owls, to find a home in our county. We will also take a brief look at other influences that have allowed bird species to establish breeding populations here, sometimes in surprising ways. While many birds are in decline, we can look for signs of hope right here at home as we witness the results of our efforts to protect habitat.
