The Christmas Bird Count is right around the corner, and San Jose Circle compiler, Mike Azevedo, wants to get you ready for it! We'll be talking about the reason we continue this century-long tradition, the data we collect, and how we coordinate dozens of teams of birders for a single day. Then we'll round out the day with a little birding and practice our counting skills in the restored meadow of McClellan, where migratory songbirds, wintering raptors, and our favorite neighborhood residents can be found.
