Friends of “R” House and Santa Clara Valley Audubon Society invite you to the historic Rengstorff House and its grounds for our latest "Birds of the Bay" collaboration. Join expert-guided birdwatching, and step back in time with historical tours, vintage games, and other family-friendly activities in the museum and grounds.
As of 4/2, the program has expanded to include:
Santa Clara Valley Audubon Society (SCVAS) leading bird walks and looking to observe birds building their nests and exhibiting courtship behavior. (Binoculars will be on loan)
Classic games including croquet, "lasso the wooden horse," "pin the bottle," "hoop and stick," ring toss, bubbles, and more fun on the lawn
bird taxidermy exhibit table with expert birders answering questions and sharing knowledge
museum open house and docent-led tours

Rengstorff House is in Shoreline at Mountain View, a protected wildlife and recreation area along the Pacific Flyway. Shoreline also offers trails to explore, a sailing lake, a golf course, and two restaurants nearby, for those of you who would enjoy making a day out of your visit.
