Young Birders Club: Evening stroll at Coyote Hills Regional Park

Join the Young Birders Club for an evening stroll at Coyote Hills Regional Park in Fremont, a scenic park featuring a mix of tidal marsh, mudflats, grassland, and low hills along the eastern shore of San Francisco Bay.

We expect to see a variety of shorebirds along the marsh and bay edge, waterfowl lingering from winter, and early spring migrants passing through. Grassland and scrub areas may hold sparrows, swallows, flycatching for insects above, and other passerines typical of the season. We'll search for raptors such as Northern Harrier, White-tailed Kite, Red-tailed Hawk, and American Kestrel, as well as herons and egrets moving through the wetlands.

This trip is designed for young birders, but parents and siblings are welcome to attend. We welcome birders of all skill levels! Loaner binoculars are available for participants.
