Mike Ambrose went out for a Big Day with a twist this year: to see how many audio recordings he could capture in one day of birding.

Chuq von Rospach took a trip around Santa Clara County in his Big Day. The Lonesome Dove found 77 species and added 8 birds to the personal year list in this tour of the county’s varied habitats

The PALY Wildlife Club searched Shoreline Lake to find 38 species in this 4-hour photography team.

Eve Meier and Patricia Lynch took a ramble through the Palo Alto Baylands and the surrounding hotspots for a socially distanced 4-hour trip that saved the species count for the very end.
