This Palo Alto city park offers a variety of habitats including grassland, weedy fields, oak woodland, semi-riparian mixed woods, and a small lake. We’ll spend the morning by walking along the Arastradero Creek Trail while we are on the lookout for Cooper’s and Red-shouldered Hawks, California Thrashers, and other oak woodland birds. We’ll also scan the small lake for Green Herons and more. 2-3 miles, moderately strenuous.
