Byxbee Park (Palo Alto)

We'll explore a native garden to look for returning fall warblers, watch the grassy hills for Northern Harriers and White-tailed Kites, and scan the sloughs for wintering shorebirds and ducks.

Trip Difficulty: 2-3 miles, wide, flat, dirt-packed and gravel paths; benches available along the way; no shade

Meet: sidewalk near T-intersection of Embarcadero Road

Directions: From US-101, take the Embarcadero Road exit east towards the bay. Continue on Embarcadero Road for about half a mile, past the entrance to the Palo Alto airport, until you reach the stop sign at the T-intersection. Do a U-turn at the stop sign and park along the north side of Embarcadero Road. Please do not park in the no-stopping zones or in the Byxbee Park parking lots. We'll meet on the sidewalk near the T-intersection, next to the interpretive sign (Latitude/Longitude: 37.453620, -122.110226).

Facilities: ADA accessible bathrooms and drinking water
