Field Trip: Families and Beginners: Sunnyvale Baylands Park

Parents join your children for a fun hike on level trails around the Sunnyvale Baylands. We’ll walk out to the boardwalk to look for raptors, shorebirds and ducks, then back around grassy fields checking the trees and lawns for warblers, thrushes, flycatchers and any other birds we can find. 

Trip Difficulty: one mile, flat, dirt and gravel loop trail; rain may make some parts muddy

Meet: Baylands Grove Amphitheater, next to the left-side parking as you enter the park’s driveway

Directions:  From CA-237, exit Lawrence Expy/Caribbean Drive.  Continue north onto Caribbean Dr. The park will be on your right in 0.3 miles.  

Facilities: bathrooms, drinking water

Parking fees: November through February there are no parking fees. From March through October there is a single car entry fee of $6.
