We will start at Spring Valley Pond and walk to Tularcitos Trail near Sandy Wool Lake (via Airport/Calaveras Trail). This walk will take us through grasslands and oak woodlands and past one lake and a pond. We will look for Allen's and Rufous Hummingbirds in the flowering eucalyptus trees as well as early migrants like Black-headed Grosbeak, Western Kingbird, and Pacific-slope Flycatcher, and we should enjoy a good mix of raptors, waterfowl, and woodland birds.
