I have been photographing for about 15 years now, mostly in the digital format. Photography became a passion (and an obsession) about 5 years ago when I was introduced to the wonderful world of birds. I have been lucky to travel for pleasure and also for business. Anywhere I go, I make it a point to take at least one camera with me and learn something new about our avian friends. In Dec 2018/Jan 2019 we planned a trip to Thailand, with the idea to visit at least three national parks in Thailand. The idea was to completely by-pass Bangkok and enjoy Thailand's varied nature reserves. We had heard a lot about interesting bird species in this part of the world and I wanted to photograph them to share these beautiful species with my friends. Along the way we got a pleasant surprise on Jan 1st with a sighting of a critically endangered species. I hope you are as amazed as I was at the variety of birds that we encountered during this 10 day trip.
