100 Images for 100 Years

“Shyboy” by Jason Tanner

In honor of its 100th Anniversary, the Santa Clara Valley Bird Alliance compiled a special collection of 100 Images for 100 Years. A range of photographers and artists were invited to participate including Board Members (past and present), long-time contributors to the Photo Archives, members of Bay Area Bird Photographers, Field Trip Leaders, contributors to All Around Town, contributors to the SCVBA Photo Galleries, members of the Young Birders Club, and recognized artists within the community. Photos were all taken in Santa Clara County, and artwork depicted birds that have been seen in the county. In all 61 photographers and artists are represented with locations from Morgan Hill to Palo Alto, Loma Prieta Summit to Sierra OSP. Species range from backyard birds to the rarely seen Zone-tailed Hawk. (Unfortunately submissions closed before the mega-rare Dark-sided Flycatcher made its brief visit to Mountain View!)
