The Next Century of Conservation and Community
This year marks a truly extraordinary milestone — 100 years of the Santa Clara Valley Bird Alliance. For a century, our organization has been a trusted voice for birds, nature, and community. Together, we’ve educated generations of young people about the beauty and importance of biodiversity, preserved vital habitats for birds, and built enduring partnerships across Santa Clara County.
As we celebrate this legacy, we are also looking forward to the next 100 years of protecting birds and inspiring future conservationists. The challenges ahead are real: habitat loss, climate change, deregulation of environmental protections, and a growing disconnect between people and the natural world. Yet, with your support, we can meet them with renewed energy and vision.

Each year, our education programs bring the wonder of birds and nature to over 2,000 students through hands-on learning — from Wetlands Discovery field trips to nest box construction and classroom programs. These experiences plant the seeds of stewardship and curiosity that last a lifetime. Our advocacy and conservation efforts also continue to safeguard critical areas like Coyote Valley, advance bird-safe design, promote dark-sky initiatives, and create bird-friendly communities across the county.
As we begin our second century, we’re committed to expanding our education programs and strengthening our advocacy impact. We envision reaching more schools, more neighborhoods, and more decision-makers, ensuring that birds, wildlife, and people thrive together. We hope to grow our membership and influence as well. But to do that, we need your help.
Your generous donation makes every field trip, every advocacy win, and every child’s “aha” moment possible. By renewing or increasing your annual gift, you will help us expand our reach, inspire more young minds, and protect more habitats than ever before.
Let’s honor the past by investing in the future — for the next century of education, conservation, and community action. Together, we can ensure that the Santa Clara Valley remains a place where birds and people flourish. Please donate to our Annual Fund today.
Thank you for your enduring support,
